In Jeremiah 18 God says He is going to judge the nation of Israel because they have disobeyed Him and broken their covenant. But God also applies judgment for sin upon nations in general in Jer Basically, God says that if any nation does evil they are in danger of His judgment. If they turn from that evil He will not do so. God's holy nation today is not the Nation of Israel physically considered but the spiritual nation of Israel, God's holy people (I Pet. 2: 9, 10, Rom. 2: 28, 29). Please consider a couple of points out of the potentially many points that could be made, all of which point to spiritual Israel.

The Bible says they would be re-gathered in unbelief. God warns He is not re-gathering the children of Israel into their Land because they deserve it, but because His Name and His Word are at stake (see Ezekiel

God’s Unavoidable Punishment. God will judge God’s people more severely than the other nations. Social Justice, true religion and social justice must go hand in hand. MAJOR CHARACTERS: God, Amos, Jeroboam II, Uzziah and people . “The kingdom of God shall be taken away from you, and shall be given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof” (Mt. ). In other words, barren national Israel would be replaced by fruitful spiritual Israel, the church (cf. 1 Pet. ; Gal. ). Parables of destruction. In the parable of the marriage of the king’s son, Jesus. exclusively confined to Israel, and “mission is about God’s free gift of deliverance or salvation for all peoples” (87). The nations live by God’s mercy, the same as Israel does, because God’s un-merited grace is universal. The author believes that from the time of the exile God changed. the strategy in his relationship with people.
